The 5th Annual VACMS Conference (Virginia Council of Mathematics Specialists) begins Thursday, September 29, 2015 with check-in, lunch and networking, 11:00 AM at Germana Community College, 18121 Technology Drive, Culpeper, VA. The conference kick-off keynote from Michael Bolling, Director of Mathematics, Virginia Department of Education, begins at 12:00 PM. After lunch, Michael Bolling, Debbie Delozier, and Tina Mazzacane, VDOE Mathematics Office, will provide sessions highlighting revised 2016 mathematics standards. Friday, September 30 begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 followed by conference choice presentations based on the conference theme at 9:00. Our day together ends with lunch at 1:30.
General conference registration is $100.00. Registration fees include the conference cost, lunch on both days, continental breakfast on Friday morning, and a one year membership in VACMS. An optional dinner will be hosted by VACMS board on Thursday night at a local restaurant. The charge for this dinner is $20.
Registration to the conference will be limited to the first 150 participants who have registered and from whom payment has been RECEIVED by September 20. If paying by purchase order, please see payment instructions. Dinner registrations will be limited to 75 participants. After September 20th those who are on the waiting list will be contacted concerning spaces available.
